() - 26/Nov/2002 2:27:08 AM this is just a part of the headgear that the little thing in the middle goes in your mouth Kellie (rere826@aol.com) - 06/Dec/2002 1:57:29 AM What is the purpose of a bite plate? bas () - 18/Dec/2002 6:03:58 PM what is the use of the biteplate and the those rings???????? () - 10/Jan/2003 9:51:13 PM the biteplate stops your bottom teeth meeting so they grow closer correcting an overbite () - 19/Jan/2003 11:35:45 PM uh huh this is for when you have crowded teeth and a major overbite (Sportyprincess54@aol.com) - 08/Mar/2003 8:13:40 PM Do you have to wear the facebow near when you first get them ? or nearly when your finished with your braces ? Riley () - 12/Mar/2003 12:01:02 AM The reason for a bite plate is so that when you have a overbite the ortho can put top and bottom braces on at the same and you won't bite down or knock of the bottom braces. I am getting a bite plate in two day but mine won't have the things that go outside of your mouth. Kerry (kpapsmom@aol.com) - 13/Apr/2003 8:44:45 PM My daughter has top teeth in braces. She wears a lip bumper and headgear. Now, she will have to have top braces taken off to get a monoblock appliance. Does anyone know what this looks like? ashley () - 21/May/2003 3:04:39 AM well i went to the ortho today for a conseltation and i have 2 options: 1)the head gear fr about 9 months beacuse im 14 and im getting my braces kinda late. and my over bite it pretty bad but not really bad you knoe wat i mean 2)get 2 teeth pulled out from the top and go threw the pain. does the headgear hurt?? which should i get?? Rika () - 14/Jun/2003 7:36:53 PM i'd rather get the teeth pulled. I had to get 4 teeth pulled b4 i got my braces. But i had not choice i had to get them pulled and that was cool cuz i had gotten alot of my baby teeth pulled b4. But he said i would never need headgear...getting teeth pulled aint that bad so i would just pick the teeth pulled stephy () - 14/Jun/2003 10:47:16 PM yeah ashley, don't worry i had 6 teeth removed when i was 6 and 3 teeth remove when i was 10 and it hurt only a little... so don't worry... i'd go for the extraction |
