THANK GOODNESS FOR WAX. I PLAY THE FLUTE AND WHEN I FIRST GOT MY BRACES ON I COULDN'T PLAY THOSE HIGH NOTES. THEN I GOT WAX NOW I CAN PLAY THOSE NOTES
() - 17/Nov/2002 12:45:57 AM

WHEN YOU WAX YOU TAKE A LITTLE CHUNK OF THE WAX AND PUT IT ON YOUR BRACKETS THEN IT WILL HEAL SORES FROM THE BRACKETS AND HELP YOU CLOSE YOUR MOUTH BETTER. I ALSO WEAR IT DURING BASKETBALL SO IF I GET BUMPED I WONT START TO BLEED. THEN WHEN YOUR DONE JUST THROW IT AWAY

i got different colors of wax, like purple, blue, and red... it was actually kind of intertaining
Rika () - 09/Feb/2003 8:44:14 PM

yeah they sell wax in stores over where the toothpaste and other stuff is
Jade () - 01/Mar/2003 6:43:37 PM

U can get flavoured wax, like strawberry and stuff in England. Can u in USA?
Liz () - 02/Mar/2003 2:23:20 PM

Which chemists in England stock orthodontic wax - Boots certainly don't and we really need some more! Thanks for any help.
Jade () - 02/Mar/2003 6:49:30 PM

I'm not sure. U might need 2 go to or fone ur ortho.
Em () - 19/Mar/2003 6:42:32 PM

I have just had my races fitted and am finding it hard 2 make my wax stick 2 my bracket/teeth. Is there any way 2 help it? Like a dry mouth? Thanks
() - 20/Mar/2003 10:02:04 PM

Wax is a life saver!!!!!!!!!!! When i first got braces i had a lot of sores and used 2 boxes of wax in the first 2 days. I wen to my ortho and they gave me some more, but i don't use it anywahere cause all the cuts are heeled. Thank goodness for wax!! Wax sticks perfectly fine on my brackets. I also have scented wax. Like cinammon, peppermint, cherry and bubble gum.

() - 06/Apr/2003 2:37:04 AM

how do u get the cinammon WAX?!?!?!?! if u could pleze tell me i would really like it. o.O
stephy () - 18/Apr/2003 7:18:57 PM

omg i dont know what i would have done without wax. i was a singer the wire in the back was too long so it was pocking my cheeks. i put wax on it and it really worked!!
Jaine (Jainehawkes@yahoo.co.uk) - 07/May/2003 8:53:45 AM

Can anybody let me know where you can buy wax?
() - 07/May/2003 5:35:48 PM

What is the wax 4. U see i am getting braces and I don't have a clue about them
Em () - 07/May/2003 6:08:41 PM

Wax is 2 go around your brackets so it don't rub your lips. It's a bit like clay but is clear so u can't see it but u can mould it around your bracket.

Thank u Em!
nozha hakeem (nozha_hakeem@yahoo.com) - 07/Jun/2003 11:00:13 AM

Rika () - 07/Jun/2003 7:03:51 PM

u use wax when ur braces are like cuttin into your skin. its to cover up what is hurting u
stephy () - 08/Jun/2003 9:45:47 PM

can you wear wax overnight? i am done with braces but i have that fixed wire behind my teeth and my tongue rub on it and it hurt real bad when i talk. most of the time i hurt my tongue during the night (don't ask why i can't find out why!)someone aswer plz!
Rika () - 09/Jun/2003 2:08:36 AM

yes u can wear wax while sleep. The worst thing u can do is swallow but eliminate that posibility just make sure u put wax on good
Em () - 09/Jun/2003 6:13:16 PM

Thanks Stephy I've got to have the fixed wire too:-S Sound great fun.
stephy () - 14/Jun/2003 12:36:55 AM

hey em don't worry, i have some friends that have that wire and they said they can't even feel it! so maybe it's just me...
Kylie () - 15/Jun/2003 11:39:17 AM

just a quickie, how long does the wax normally stay stuck for? will it stay there during meal times?
Em () - 15/Jun/2003 5:44:22 PM

Yeah it should do. My orthodontist says either you take it off or it wears of with hot drinks. So food is ok. my wax has never come off while I have been eating.

kylie () - 07/Aug/2003 9:00:51 AM

becca, do you have braces and a lip piercing? how long have you had the piercing? maybe you should ask your piercer for advice!
() - 15/Aug/2003 7:00:37 PM

Do u eva get used to ur brace (perticually the the back bit) on the inside of ur cheeks? cuz it hurts every time i take the wax off and i have ended up wearing it all the time! will this get better so i dont have to use wax?
EJ () - 17/Aug/2003 12:15:45 AM

Im gonna need tons of wax because my canine teeth are really close to my mouth. and i know my lips are gonna get cut up bad because of that.
() - 22/Aug/2003 6:55:57 PM
