Stephanie () - 22/Mar/2003 5:42:02 AM To Jenny, i have a clear retainer too, I'm not sure if you can change to a hawleys retainer, but I'm hoping its possible, cuz mine sucks... you probably can, i don't know why they wouldnt let u anyways Cheerstar () - 29/Mar/2003 10:05:49 PM I am sorry to say that all the retainers do is keep your teeth from moving back into their original spots. they do not straighten your teeth. Rika () - 31/Mar/2003 1:27:11 AM cheerstar- are u sure about that? a friend of mine had a retainer and not braces at? If all retainers do is to get your teeth from moving back, then why did my friend get one? She didnt have an appliance before to move her teeth so what now? cheerstar () - 03/Apr/2003 1:45:05 AM Mabie your friend had them on to stop her teeth from moving or growing into the wrong spots so that she woulden't have to wait and then go through the whole braces thing. lucy () - 05/Apr/2003 4:30:20 AM to clean them... my ortho said to use Retainer Brite or Efferdent once a month... but i have a question... i got mine today in fact, quite the painful little device. Can i drink soda with it still in my mouth or do i have to take the stupid thing out for everything?? Stephanie () - 15/Apr/2003 3:32:35 AM Reply to Jenny! Andrea () - 26/Apr/2003 8:22:56 PM I had a clear retainer too it made my mouth hurt so badly and I got me Hawley retainers yesterday and I liked it and it's much better than clear retainer. () - 03/May/2003 3:12:24 AM I was thinking about getting a clear retainer after i get my braces off. From wat i have read it hurts? Is it really better to get the regular hawley's retainer? Just wondering... Stephanie () - 14/May/2003 1:41:48 AM Alright, get what you want. It will probably feel the same if you get a clear or a hawley retainer. After you get your braces off and you wait for your retainer, you teeth my move a little, so there will be a little pressure on your teeth! I like the hawley retainer better!! Daniel (ddmiv@raex.com) - 15/May/2003 10:07:33 PM I had one of there for my upper retainer. I hated it, mostly I think because it totally covered my teeth and most of the roof of my mouth. Also, the mold for it was taken the day I got my braces off and I didn't get the retainer until a week later. Because of that, it never quite fit right. Lou () - 22/May/2003 12:47:21 PM I got clear retainers on tuesday. Does anyones elses really hurt? Its not such the actual retainers as such, more the oulcers that ive got. Also when I eat my top retainer seems to come off my teeth. Does this mean it doesnt fit right? Cheers Lou Lou () - 22/May/2003 12:51:23 PM Also, should you eat with them in or should u take them out to eat and put them straight back in afterwards. stephy () - 08/Jun/2003 9:19:43 PM how can you guys be complaining about clear retainer? i got hawley and it's kind of annoying. wut hurt in the clear retainer. plz answer. thx Angie () - 13/Jun/2003 12:31:35 AM What is supposed to be better for you? A clear retainer or a Hawley retainer? (judy_tomasky@cap-Police.senate.gov) - 14/Jul/2003 7:13:44 PM I am one of those people that did not get braces until I was an adult. I should have done it earlier because my jaw did not grow correctly. After 3 years of wearing them, my teeth are straight and I have little stress on my jaw. I have the clear retainer and it seems to be an excellent fit. It doesn't hurt and actually feels good in my mouth. However, the only concern that I have is....I do not feel like the saliva in my mouth is circulating enough. Although I keep my teeth clean,I am wondering if this could cause problems to my teeth or gums in the future. Doreen (Barfieldcrew@aol.com) - 14/Jul/2003 7:43:09 PM Here it is! tina () - 14/Jul/2003 10:38:57 PM i have both top and bottom but now i got braces again and no they dont hurt at all cuz they are a print out of your teeth! () - 23/Jul/2003 2:30:49 PM can this be used to correct a mild overbite in lieu of braces () - 25/Jul/2003 12:41:10 AM is it hard to talk with these in your mouth? denise jones (denise.samson@sevilleclassics.com) - 01/Aug/2003 11:01:40 PM i wanted to know if there is a retainer i could wear to clost the gaps in my teeth. liz (lillizcurtis79@yahoo.com) - 13/Aug/2003 9:27:25 AM I wanted to know how to go about getting this kind of retainer. I've already had braces about 3 years ago. And my teeth have shifted a little and wondered if you could get that without having to get braces again. Butterfly2k (rachelhouse88@hotmail.com) - 19/Aug/2003 7:54:20 PM Oh my gosh! I have a small gap in my front teeth, but i dont want baraces! I want a retainer, and this is totally the kind i want! Invisible! butterfly2k () - 19/Aug/2003 7:59:32 PM I dont get how this clear retainer could hurt? And HOW does it work? It only looks like molded plastic on your teeth. How could it possibly move teeth? I want these though... () - 20/Aug/2003 10:17:30 PM it can't move your teeth. only the hawley retainers can close gaps in your teeth!!!!!!! |
